O restaurante The River Café foi inaugurado em junho de 1977 numa localidade que na época não se mostrava como muito interessante. Todavia, Michael O’Keeffe teve muita visão em escolher esse lugar, o restaurante abriu as suas portas e imediatamente alcançou sucesso.
